For this week’s Zen Biker Tarot Forecast, I went with a three-card spread. It just felt like anything more would be overkill. And once again, we have a generally positive outlook for the world for the next week. I mean, it doesn’t scream “E Ticket at Disneyland,” but it doesn’t scream in terror either.
And once again, it might not look like it at first.
What we have here is the Four of Coins. I almost don’t need to explain this one. This is a card of playing all your cards so close to your chest they’re inside your bra. (Even if you don’t wear one.) We’re going to see a week of increased hunkering and introspection, of people hanging on to what they got. This is a Minor Arcana card, so nothing dramatic, major or catastrophic…but still happening.
As a result, we come to an inverted Queen of Swords. The Queen is a card of sharp wit and unsheathed tongue. An individual who has neither the patience nor the inclination for sugar-coating. Inverted, these things are still there, but they’re reserved. The tongue is sheathed. So while heated discussion is never going to go away, look for an increase in people just not bothering for a while.
What’s the upshot?
A dramatic increase in personal power and self-control. We have here The Chariot, a card of enormous power and control. The Sphinx in front represents the power of nature harnessed by human intelligence…and the Sphinx isn’t even harnessed to the Chariot. The driver is holding it by the tail instead. That’s some serious aplomb right there. So in this reading, we see that he introspection and reservation seen in the first two cards make for a tremendous opportunity to learn more about oneself.
And knowledge, if you’ll pardon the cliche, is power. By taking a step back, people will discover a much more comfortable sense of self, which leads to a healthier world outlook as well. Remember, you don’t control the road, you control your bike. Knowing that leads to a better ride.
So, all in all, the week could be far worse.
Come back next Tuesday for another peek at the week ahead.
